Genuineness

The TripCongo Foundation has been active in the DRC since 2022, with a mission to identify and support individuals processing cultural talents, empowering to thrive economically and potentially generate employment opportunities.

Currently, our primary efforts are concentrated in Goma. Here, we’re fully funding the training of six artists—sculptors, painters, and potters. This training is a prerequisite for them to begin producing and exporting their work. Another initiative involves MemoCD, where the foundation supports MemoPartners selected through its MemoGenius program. These partners receive assistance in establishing and running tourist and/or artistic agencies. These agencies are set up in accordance with DRC administration regulations to ensure the provision of superior services on MemoCD. Looking ahead, the foundation aims to extend its operations to Kinshasa and Lubumbashi by 2025.

Our Impact

Our work in sustainable development, governance and resilience building.

10.7%

Since the advent of MemoCD, the tourism sector has seen a remarkable increase of over 10.7% in the number of entrepreneurs. This growth is attributed to the addition of 300 partners on the platform, complementing the existing 2,800 entrepreneurs in the tourism industry cataloged by ANAPI. This progress has been achieved within the first year alone.

22

Through our cultural initiatives promotion plan, TripCongo is currently funding and supporting 22 projects. These initiatives are anticipated to yield tangible results by the end of 2024. Contact us for further information on these initiatives.

11,059

Over the period from April 2022 to November 2023, we've conducted six media events, garnering the participation of 11,059 attendees. These events span various activities such as conferences, field visits, exhibitions, and more, ensuring active engagement and interaction.

0.03%

TripCongo, in its first year of MemoCD's operation, has contributed to a 0.03% increase in regional employment within the tourism sector, which accounts for 300 job opportunities. However, this figure represents only 0.004% of the 84 million unemployed individuals in the DRC, as reported by ANAPI. While it's a modest advancement, we aim to achieve greater impacts moving forward.
